At Matcha, we believe peace of mind starts with transparency. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not track your precise GPS location, though we may determine your general region (City/Country) to provide localized content.
Beyond what is strictly necessary to run the app, we collect behavioral insights that help us understand how you interact with our features. This allows us to improve the app for everyone and reach new users who might benefit from a quieter mind.

Depending on your location, you have specific rights regarding your personal data. Whether you are in the EU, UK, USA, or Canada, we respect your right to access, correct, or delete your information.
Europe & UK (GDPR)
Our legal basis for processing is "Contractual Necessity" (to provide the app) and "Legitimate Interest" (for performance analytics). You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian ANSPDCP if you feel your rights are violated.
North America (CCPA & PIPEDA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to request a copy of your data or its deletion. Matcha does not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA. Canadian users have similar rights to withdraw consent for notifications at any time.

6. Data Retention & Deletion
Technical data is generally kept for 12 months. Local data (favorites) is deleted immediately when you uninstall the app. To request server-side deletion of any associated IDs, contact us.
